About Us
An Incorporated Association run by members.
We are made up of end of life doulas who have qualifications and experience in aged care, case management, first aid, nursing, palliative care, allied health, business management, funeral arranging and even coffin building.
We have combined our skills and experience when we designed the training program and vision for NODA Australia.
The original program trained volunteers to vigil with someone who was dying alone. We do that and more.
We have expanded this original vision and we train doulas to offer this within their business as a way to deliver more personalised services to their community
We envision a world where communities get to care for their own, making or decorating a coffin using both modern and traditional techniques, facilitating a funeral and holding ritualistic ceremonies that were significant to their person.
That’s the dream for us at NODA.
The basics of training and empowering people to care for their own has empowering pathways forward in many ways.
There are options to deliver nationally recognised training in first aid, doula, individual support, palliative care,
funeral arranging, trade skills and business skills.
This is the vision we are holding at NODA Australia Inc.
A world where training and education is equally accessible to all.
Our President Kylie Hutchinson

In 2018 Kylie decided to bring the No One Dies Alone Program to Australia. The early team did the groundwork that set up the Incorporated Association that exists today. She feels privileged to be the President and is passionate about this program.
Kylie has officially been a Death Doula since 2017 but her journey began long before that. She was raised with open conversations where the dying process was never hidden. She believes through discussion and education she can enhance the death literacy for many people which will in turn will reduce the stigma of this topic.
Kylie also works as a Trainer and Assessor where she is currently based in Newcastle NSW and contracts to a number of Registered Training Organisations. She brings these varied skills to this program. She comes from a hospitality and business management background and believes in education and empowerment for everybody.
